About bandingcar
bandingcar compares the variants of new cars sold in Peninsular Malaysia, using each manufacturer's own brochure and price list rather than a summary of them.

What this site does
Choosing a car model is the easy part. Choosing which variant of it to buy is where the money is, and the information is usually a salesperson’s summary or a brochure PDF that is hard to read on a phone. This site puts 18 models and 55 variants side by side, so the difference between two trims is a list you can read rather than a conversation you have to remember.
Where the numbers come from
Every specification is transcribed from the manufacturer’s own brochure, and every price is the Peninsular Malaysia on-the-road price without insurance from their own published price list. The source document is linked at the top of each comparison page so you can check it yourself.
- Perodua — Model brochures and the official price list, plus the QV-E battery leasing Product Disclosure Sheet. Official site
- Proton — Model brochures and price lists, including the e.MAS EV sub-brand site. Official site
Where a brochure states something ambiguously, this site says so rather than guessing. Where it states nothing at all, the field reads “not stated” instead of being filled in with an assumption.
What this site is not
- Not a dealer, agent or broker. Nothing here can be bought, booked or reserved.
- Not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Perodua or Proton.
- Not a source of financial advice. The instalment calculator is an estimate, not an offer.
- Not a used-car listing site.
Who publishes it
bandingcar is published by an independent Malaysian publisher. Pages are attributed to the site rather than to an invented author, because the work here is transcription and comparison rather than opinion, and a byline would imply an editorial team that does not exist.
