Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between Aruz X and AV?

Both share the same 1.5L engine, 4-speed automatic, reverse camera, solar/security window film, smart entry, built-in toll reader, side step and rear air-cond vents. AV adds A.S.A. 2.0, a built-in DVR, leather seats, navigation multimedia with Smart Link and HDMI, fog lamps, auto headlamp ON-OFF, roof rails, 6 speakers with tweeters and silver painted bumpers. X has fabric seats, a resistive-touch digital audio system and manual headlamp levelling.

Is Aruz AV worth upgrading from X?

AV is RM5,000 more (RM77,900 vs RM72,900 for metallic paint). You get A.S.A. 2.0, a built-in DVR, leather seats, navigation multimedia, fog lamps, auto headlamps, roof rails and upgraded audio — meaningful upgrades if active safety and premium trim matter to you. X already includes a reverse camera and rear vents, so the step-up is less about basics and more about the full safety and convenience package.

Which Aruz variant has Advanced Safety Assist (A.S.A.) 2.0?

Only Aruz AV has A.S.A. 2.0 and the integrated driving video recorder (DVR). Aruz X has the core passive safety suite — 6 airbags, ABS/VSC/TRC, Hill-start Assist and ISOFIX — but not the A.S.A. 2.0 active safety bundle.

Does every Aruz variant have a reverse camera?

Yes — both Aruz X and AV come with a reverse camera as standard, along with solar & security window film and a built-in toll reader.

How many seats does the Aruz have?

The Aruz is a 7-seater SUV with flexible seating arrangements. With the third row folded, luggage capacity is 213 L (upper tier) or 514 L (lower tier). Both X and AV share the same cabin layout and boot volumes.

What features are standard across all Aruz variants?

Both Aruz X and AV share the same 1.5L 2NR-VE engine, 4 E-AT transmission, 17-inch alloy rims, 6 airbags, ABS/VSC/TRC, Hill-start Assist, ISOFIX anchors, smart entry with push-start, reverse camera, solar/security window film, built-in toll reader, side step, rear air-cond vents, 'Eco Idle' system and 213/514 L boot tiers with 220 mm ground clearance.
