Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between City Hatchback S and E?
E adds a multi-angle reverse camera (S has rear sensors only), single-zone automatic air-conditioning (S has manual), an 8-inch touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (S has standard audio with Bluetooth only), four tweeters, two front and two rear USB ports, and remote engine start. Both share Honda Sensing, six airbags, ACC, auto high beam and rear parking sensors on 15-inch alloys.
What is the difference between City Hatchback E and V?
V upgrades to full LED headlamps, 16-inch alloy wheels and front LED fog lamps, plus combination leather upholstery, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, and rear air-conditioning vents. E and V both have wired Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a reverse camera and single-zone automatic climate control, neither has wireless mirroring or the 360° camera.
What is the difference between City Hatchback V and RS?
RS adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, the 360° view camera, Honda Connect telematics, a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, RS bodykit trim (19 mm longer at 4,369 mm) and RS interior accents. V keeps wired CarPlay and a multi-angle reverse camera only.
Which City Hatchback variant has Honda Sensing?
All five variants (S, E, V, RS and e:HEV RS) include Honda Sensing with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Auto High Beam. The e:HEV RS adds Low Speed Follow to ACC.
Which City Hatchback variant has wireless Apple CarPlay?
RS and e:HEV RS have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. S has no CarPlay at all. E and V have wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through the 8-inch Display Audio.
Which City Hatchback variant has a 360-degree camera?
Only RS and e:HEV RS have the 360° view camera. S has no reverse camera at all (rear sensors only). E and V have a multi-angle reverse camera without the full 360° view.
Is City Hatchback e:HEV RS worth the premium over RS?
e:HEV RS is worth it if you want the i-MMD hybrid rated at 3.7 L/100km and can accept the higher kerb weight (1,260 kg vs 1,163 kg on petrol RS). Equipment is otherwise aligned with RS (wireless CarPlay, 360° camera, Honda Connect and RS trim) but you pay RM12,000 more on the May 2024 price list.
How does City Hatchback compare to the City sedan?
The hatchback is RM1,000 more per grade (S from RM85,900 vs RM84,900 on the sedan) and has a smaller 289 L boot versus 519 L on the sedan. The hatchback S lacks a reverse camera where the sedan S includes one. Petrol hatchback variants use drum rear brakes; the sedan uses solid discs throughout.
