The Axia sells five variants across a much wider price ladder than the Iriz's three. That means the cheapest Axia grades sit alone below the Iriz range, while the Iriz Active sits alone above the Axia AV.

How to choose
At the bottom of the Axia range there is no Iriz counterpart, those grades are competing with other Perodua and Proton entry cars, not with this page. From the SE/Standard pair upward, ignore anything you would never use and buy whichever hatch gives you the equipment you would actually touch.
If active safety is on your list, the Axia's published A.S.A. on the higher grades decides this comparison well before the top of either range. If it is not, the Iriz stays competitive on price at the matched steps.

- The Axia range starts much lower, but the Iriz Standard sits next to the Axia SE rather than the Axia E. The table on this page shows each matched pair with its difference, which is the only form of the answer that is not hiding which variants it means.
- Does the Proton Iriz have AEB?
- Proton's specification for the Iriz does not name automatic emergency braking on any variant. Higher Axia grades publish A.S.A. with automatic braking. If that system is a requirement, that difference decides this comparison on its own.
- Why do so many Axia variants have no counterpart?
